we have ad setup name domainname.com.  have outside hosted webserver has name www.domainname.com   we're having networksolutions.com forward out domainname.com site our hosted webserver. everyone outside our network seems able see new forwarding page we've had networksolutions forward to.  internally can't see new website. i went ahead , tried plug in a www record our dns zone domainname.com with ipaddress of networksolutions dns new forwarding page not showing up.  it can't resolve.  there way requests www.domainname.com inside our network is sent out dns server , resolve networksolutions , have web forwarding happen?  thanks. bryan solution has been solved.  had give time internal dns server propagate.  set dns forwarding in dns server , created www record in domainname.com fowarding zone.  checked networksolutions web forwarding address in advanced edit dns settings within our networksolutions account , used www ipaddress record ip address. bryan

hello. searched these forums couldn't quite find looking for.  i have dhcp running on windows 2000 server (sp4) , 1 of scopes seems screwed up: 1) scope has total of 244 addresses - range 10.10.141.5 through 10.10.141.254 2) exclusion 10.10.141.45 through 10.10.141.50 3) clicking on "display statistics" see 244 total addresses, 238 in use, 6 available 4) lease set 2 hours 5) looking @ list of assigned addresses count 87... 87 used + 6 available not equal 244!! 6) if reconcile/verify dhcp finds missing addresses , lists them. show lease expire in 2 hours , dummy mac. 7) addresses disappear again 8) no ip's reserved 2 dozen @ 1 point in past. they've since been removed. i've read on how restore corrupted dhcp database but, technically, database isn't corrupt. it? how can recover missing ip's?? thanks!! hi rudedog42, - try change lease duration 30 minutes, - make sure 'enable dns dynamic updates according settings bellow' option checked - make

hi, we have dfsr hub , spoke topology 50 members across 45 sites connected mixture of ipsec vpn & mpls. 1 hub server running server 2012 standard, others either server 2008 r2 standard or enterprise. all servers have latest patchlevel servers in 1 domain theres no problem normal ad-replication no obvious errors dcdiag or netdiag 1 namespace 61 replicated folders containing mixture of office documents, images , videos problem: there large backlogs reported dfsr diag large files replicate extremely or not @ (for example 984mb file created 32 days ago has still not reached 40 out of 50 sites.) many dfsr event id 5014 warnings logged on members ('error: 1726 (the remote procedure call failed.)  hub server's dfsr debug logs contain many entries stating 'failed reserve file transfer server context, no more contexts available'. these messages seem corrospond dfsr event 5014 messages. example debug log: 20131201 18:03:46.908 3696 srtr  2772 i

a strange odd thing i'm experiencing right in failover manger. have cluster environment has 8 host servers. 61 servers total. had divided host servers 3 dedicated preferred segments (development, qa, , net) first 3 host servers devlopment, settings restricting them server hosts. used 2 host servers dedicated qa. did same thing , restricted setting 2 preferred servers. final set 3 dedicated network testing called net same restrictions host servers. after several years decided remove net , open cluster group development, , qa. went smoothly had several vm's had shut down because of restriction settings preferred owners not able removed had shut of servers down. once did able remove settings. that's when weird things started happen 6 servers wouldn't start in failover cluster. getting error code 0x800713cf goes restrictions placed on vm's restriction have been removed. had decided re-import vm's there same id , brought them view on hyper-v manager able st

hi. how know current number of windows 7 kms client no info in running cscript slmgr.vbs /dli all tnx   one more machine start activating, have 24 fire vm or something.  once next machine connects machines activated (eventually).  or just run slmgr -ato command on them if cannot wait them re-attempt. slmgr -ato don't forget mark posts answered drop off unanswered post filter. if i've helped , want show gratitude, click green thingy. i want configure ntp server in following ways ntp1 & ntp2 should sync time external sources , xp clients should sync time ntp1 primary , ntp2 secondary. can configure above ntp1 , ntp2 on domain controller??  time on xp clients , server should not  to different high requirement. time should not between 2-3 sec of actual gmt. kindly suggest different solution this kb has specific instructions on setting external time sources in windows server.  clients joined domain should auto configure sync time dc (for kerberos).  on startup....im not sure other reocurring intervals. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816042 Windows Server  >  Windows Server General Forum
