 hi guys. need advice. here brief explanation of problem. we have 4 win2003 standard servers bunch of workstations. our dhcp server running out of ips. i created superscope , added subnet , added 2nd subnet router. router provides vpn , internet access network of 150 people. everything seems working , devices on both subnets talk each other. servers use ips 172.17.1.1 172.17.1.4 evertyhing gigabit router on 172.17.1.254 , running @ 10/100 subnet originaly set 255.255.255.0 after doing tests found transfer rate 1 subnet slower due 10/100 router. what best way fix problem? new router ? setup 1 of servers , route using rras? if use rras need set server 2nd gateway ? part 2 of qestion: we going replace 4 servers 2 new once and have 2 other servers total of (4 new servers) servers 2 way quad core xeon cpus, 4gb of memory 1tb of raid 5 storage on each server. here current setup , server tasks. server1: primary dc, dns, dhcp, file server, antivirus server server2: backup dc, dns, file server

i've searched days find answer question, , must not know ask...i'm not finding need. i have soa platform many services take input mainframe reports (text files).  reports delivered directory on intranet from mainframes use lpr  sent in raw format (to lpd service designate).  take out process of writing files , importing contents sending 'printer' data mainframe directly service. i figure have option either create custom listener service on port 515, or leverage server role document , printer services custom driver (but expect require a customer driver). so, questions: are these only/best options? does can need already exist (free or cheap preferably)? if not, should go lpd path (like pdf printer driver assume) or custom listener path? thank in advance advice! when trying renew iis ssl our certificate authority received access denied error. logged on our ca server , found our ca certificate due expire in april (less 6 months away) , assumed causing ca not issue new certificate less year. we tried renew our ca certificate threw error (still looking exact error message). in event log had following error: event id 58 - a certificate in chain ca certificate 0 britannia operator limited has expired.  a required certificate not within validity period when verifying against current system clock or timestamp in signed file. 0x800b0101 (-2146762495). after more reading pointed towards pkiview , able see several issues: under root of our ca name found following conditions: "cdp location #1" - expiring "deltacrl location #1" - expired i ran "manage ad containers" , under "certification authorities container" we're seeing 2 objects our ca name, once of has status of "not time valid"

i discovered downloaded .rdp files still work after users access has been removed rds , domain login disabled in active directory. i had terminate employee had rds access several of our rds targets.  i removed user every security group provided rds resource.  i changed users password , logged rdweb user , got blank rds page (no resources available).  i disabled ad account , thought secure, not close! imagine surprise when ex-employee use saved rdp file authenticate past rds gateway , prompted login prompt @ server of choosing.  once past rds gateway, domain credentials work, without rds permissions.   is there way prevent old rdp files working users disabled domain accounts? it's useless response is so user has saved .rdp files on his...home desktop? , launches .rdp shortcuts and gets credential prompt can't go past since disabled account? do have network level authentication enabled on servers or deliberately disabled? look @ section of gpos rds: computer c
