Win Server 2K8 R2 LPD forward to a web service

i've searched days find answer question, , must not know ask...i'm not finding need.

i have soa platform many services take input mainframe reports (text files).  reports delivered directory on intranet from mainframes use lpr  sent in raw format (to lpd service designate).  take out process of writing files , importing contents sending 'printer' data mainframe directly service.

i figure have option either create custom listener service on port 515, or leverage server role document , printer services custom driver (but expect require a customer driver). so, questions:

  • are these only/best options?
  • does can need already exist (free or cheap preferably)?
  • if not, should go lpd path (like pdf printer driver assume) or custom listener path?

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine

Event ID 64,77,1008 Certificates Events Windows Server 2008, 2008R2
