hello everyone. have very bad situation. in 1 of our new customers following configuraion. organisations ad corrupted , lost  there hyper-v nodes winsrv2012 in failover cluster hosted on  8x hp c7000 blade system there hp p2000 datastore 49.5 tb full size.  there isn't vmm (please don't ask me "why" 2 csv volumes pesented cluster (i suppose via failover cluster services) , worst thing don't have backups. suppose previous local administrators irresponsible. so have following behavior of system don't able move virtual machines between nodes manually. datastore full. cannot create  new lun because disks used. there many critical vm's couldn't stopped long time. have new ad can not rejoin nodes new domain because node contain critical machines , told can not move ones node well. cannot because in case moved node deleted failover cluster in case can damage csv volumes. can turn off each vm little tim

hi, i trying in server 2016 rtm. i carrying out testing 2 node cluster , have 2 separate iscsi target servers. if present iscsi luns each server only, clustering not recognize disks clustering how add them? if present iscsi luns both servers can add disk in , remove mapping necessary once disks in cluster. this did work on tp5 not on rtm? thanks. we changed behavior in win2016 disk clustered automatically, needs visible 2 or more nodes. as you've found out, if have disks presented single node need add disks running powershell syntax, cluster disks... if visible 1 node (effectively win2012 r2 behavior) get-clusteravailabledisk -all | add-clusterdisk what trying 2-node stretch cluster storage replica absolutely supported... setup flow little different have run powershell cmdlet, that's all. thanks! elden Windows Server  >

i have started testing wsus 3 in domain environment.  have created 2 test groups, each receive different updates.  can see each group has received updates scheduled , seems working fine.  however, have 1 question. being have not disqualified updates @ all, there more 1500 available updates on server @ time.  can see 1 of machines installed approximately 24 updates based on needed updates number has decreased number.  however, because i approved great number of updates that group of computers, includes different versions of office, etc.  how can tell updates where installed on each machine? please advise, or ask clarification. thanks, bud veltman bud.veltman@verizon.net   this level of administrative detail pretty hit wall wsus. there couple of other options may meet needs... hello. i using win7 corporate updated win 8.1 pro new licence. upgraded win 10 , have 10130 build @ moment. after upgrade logged in win10 old ms account i've used in xbox360 , win8 on other work computer. the problem i'm unable old data (like steam game's saves, numerous program settings etc.)  windows.old directory (and couple of others directorys). keeps saying "access denied" , when try change permissions "failed enumerate objects in container. access denied". i not able log win10 old local account. cannot see option change account on login screen. can see account under pc -> properties -> advanced system settings -> user profiles i can see 2 profiles there "default profile" i'm using, and "<computername>\<username>" -type local account 1 used win7.  i not able change account or edit in way.  i tried create account same username used in win7, lacks <computername>-part it'

i have windows 2000 looking upgrade.  it authenticates wireless access through out building.  i copied on ias settings our windows 2003 (domain controller) using netsh command.  i copied on rras settings.  when stop ias service on 2000 server, wireless users getting stuck on validating identity when attempting connect.  none of laptops configured validate server certificate.   the eap type peap , authentication method eap-mschap v2.   help! hi jciufo did change configurations on access points using your wireless network? ap's i'm assuming acting radius clients pointing particular radius server (in case win 2000 server) and so when change authenticating server have update radius ip address on ap's the ip address of win 2003 server new radius server able authenticate wireless users. when using robocopy copy folders , files 1 local hard disk another, using /copyall /e /tee options, target folder not contain source folder's acl. i've tried other options such as: /copy:datsou or /secfix, made no difference. test scenario: create folder on c:, test1. add test1's permissions local group read, e.g. backup operators. acl list should have permissions inherited c:\ plus backup operators that's not inherited. use robocopy copy test1 c:\test2, check acl on test2. backup operators missing. it looks robocopy cannot override target folder's permissions inheritance, folder  retains parent folder's acl. i've disabled user access control in troubleshooting problem. to add issue, there's workaround can used ensure target folder's acl same source folder's acl. it's 2 step process. 1) use xcopy source_folder target_folder /i /e /x /t  -  lays down directory structure including acls 2) use robocopy source_folder target_folder /copyall
