hi. working fine me until morning. while using rd , connected 1 server, initiated connection server desktop (which every day). when connected got strange screen had black tiles floating around blocking view. if moved mouse on them temporarily clear came after moved mouse again. happens on every connection start regardless of server connecting to. i running windows 10 latest updates , servers connecting either win 2012 or 2008 r2. have restarted, checked video driver version , switched windows default desktop theme. i confirmed happening pc , have others in house not experiencing issues. use rd every day , made no changes on laptop today. connecting servers use time (not new machines). anyone else ever have happen? and appeared, issue having gone. did not make changes. suspect there background process on laptop causing resource issues. hello, i'm working on project involving filesystem events, , image manipulation. i've written attached script, having trouble it. seems work 90% of time. unfortunately, 80% of time, (2) events trigger each file system event occurs. , crash. not sure if there blaring issues code, if willing take look, appreciated. the filesystem event seems run smoothly (i.e. can remove of own code, , produces message everytime add file watch folder.) when start manipulating file, , remove watch folder, things start act funky. 2 things i'm seeing weird event happen twice each file added watchfolder, although script run correctly. , second weird thing happens, error thrown , stop.  it's been frustrating, lol. see script below: #by bigteddy 05 september 2011 #this script uses .net filesystemwatcher class monitor file events in folder(s). #the advantage of method on using wmi eventing can monitor sub-folders. #the -action parameter can contain valid powershell c

having issues windows server 2008. when try run consistency checks using dpm manager come failed.  i have tried running check disk(chdsk), doing memory tests, doing clean boot, verified hard drives healthy, verifying anti-virus turned off , running sfc scan.  the error sfc scan (scwvariables.xml corrupt) otherwise no other errors that.  i tried copying file known server , re-ran sfc still throws error. when @ event viewer has errors vss nothing specific. have done searching online , have found there possibly corrupt .dll files.   would doing system update readiness tool identify anything? wanting upgrade 2008 r2.   would doing system update readiness tool identify anything? wanting upgrade 2008 r2. you try , review %systemroot%\logs\cbs\checksur.log i'd leery of doing in-place upgrade of suspected corrupt server. better option clean install , migrate roles or application on new one.       regards, dave patrick .... microsoft certified professional mi

my company has ton of laptop users complain documents sync times file server everytime login or logout. i t's syncing "hidden" csc/offline files, no files reside in local documents folder. need access documents when out in field , internet-less. we still use xp sync window annoyingly visible @ login/logoff. we limited 100mbit because our fileserver resides in colocation datacenter, 100mbit connection office. sync time can quite lengthy users tons of files (yes block silly file types). now, coworker claims @ previous company used dfs sync user's docs file server in background, no syncing process hold them when logging off or shutting down. now i've done quite bit of googling on this, , can't find documentation or guides on how user's data (let alone bunch of highly mobile ones). thing dfs seems used server file replication , namespaces (combining multiple fileservers 1 location users). is dfs legitment tool synchronizing mobile users data
