Win2k3 removing cluster Network card - Does it reset group

jsut quick question, have network card has dependency placed on resource in same cluster group.

dependency not required, , wish remove dependency on network card. however, before doing so, need confirm if removal of dependency require / cause outage on cluster group high availability application , outages must minimised (which why need remove dependency has caused high severity incidents in past cluster group has not restarted due issues regarding dependency on network card not required application work).

this not accurate. while might true versions of mscs require take resource offline add a dependency, don't think ever true removing dependency resource. can remove dependencies resource without needing change state of resource. so, wesl, should able remove dependency without issue.

as adding dependency, in windows 2008, you can now add dependency resource without needed take resource offline in order make change. in prior versions of windows, cluster required resource offline in order add dependency.
