running windows 2008 ts-server easy print settings made (ie gpo settings).  printers redirected our xp clients , allowed adjust printer settings. our clients  have requirements installed.  (.net 3.5 & rdp 6.1)  when printing server, job appears in queue on server.  print job sits in queue minute , status changes say that job deleting , gone.  nothing happens on client side , no document printed.  there no errors in log; says following: document 14, test page owned mzavada2 printed on 30-12s-4000 on usprt002 (redirected 4) through port ts090. size in bytes: 0. pages printed: 1. no user action required. i noticed in log above size in bytes 0 when job in print queue says size of 131kb.  not sure if has it. any way, client somehow blocking redirected print job ts server?  appreciated. this issue resolved microsoft.  easy print work when removed server domain break on domain.  issued revolved around old gpo setting used our windows 2003 servers applied our windows 2008 server.  gpo se

i running remote desktop services on windows server 2008 r2. have several customers have been running remote apps via rdweb on year no problem. last night installed renewed server ssl certificate replace expired one. applied certificate digital signature settings in remote app manager. applied rdp-tcp properties in remote desktop session host configuration. imported certificate in server properties in rd gateway manager. a long time windows 7 customer runs remote app through internet explorer has no problem initial login session host. but when clicks on icon remote app running yesterday no problem...he confronted new windows security login screen again asks credentials log in server. additional login screen not pop when try access login windows 10 machine. windows security screen not accept same credentials uses initial session host login via internet explorer. stumped. must delete , recreate remote app using? did renewed server certificate cause problem? thanks. sorr

hi i'm trying set nlb 2 servers running single nic in each. have set using nlb manager , works , both hosts converged , in cluster, error message "could not read configuration of interface" when view cluster through nlb manager. set is: 10.10.1.2 (nic1) 10.10.1.3 (nic2) and 10.10.1.1 nlb address configure on both nics, using multicast. ideas causing this? i tech support glass cutting company uses own software detailing , tracking of orders based on terminal server. server running windows server 2008 r2. server has intel xeon e5504 , 12gb of ram. there 30 users in terminal server @ 1 time. understand of terminal services (and quite new it) should not require resources of computer using, needs send input , run display. therefore though many of computers quite old shouldn't have effect on speed of remote desktop session. expect terminal server not prioritise sessions on others, should see same speed. unfortunately not true, there users run slower on terminal server others. kind of troubleshooting can done determine cause of this? my first thought poor cabling have tried replacing cable on 1 of users no effect, , don't know of network diagnostic tools allow me test network speeds specific computers. any ideas? hi,   actually, there many causes affect performance of terminal server, including network issue, user exper

i running agpm 4.0.  morning updating few policies.  1 of them when went check in, disappered list of controlled policies.  not under uncontrolled policies.  can still see in gpo objects node, , view history.  history says last checked in, can not deploy it.  when try deploy error says: [error] process cannot access file 'backup.xml' because being used process. when try settings or difference report recieve: failed generate html gpo settings report. the following error occurred: the system cannot find file specified.
