Prevent adding local printer by AD policies

hi every one,

i have question, need block option add local printer, path is: start + devices , printers + add printer, here appears 2 options: add local printer , add network printer, need block first 1 option...  by using policies ad, pc's using w7.

if 1 knows if posible, i'd preciate answer.

we can configure printer-specific settings users in active directory restrict users adding local printers. following steps can referred workaround.

  1. click start, point programs, point administrative tools, , click active directory users , computers.
  2. click active directory container of domain want manage (an organizational unit or domain). right-click container, , click properties.
  3. click new create "new" group policy.
  4. in group policy editor, expand following folders: user configuration, administrative templates, control panel, , printers.
  5. enable disable addition of printers.
