hi!

physical ports redirection vm not supported on hyper-v (it never has, , according prior msft responses, never will).

the usual recommendation to connect com ports inside vm hosting machine (could hyper-v host, microsoft not recommend other applications or roles running besides hyper-v @ host level) using sharing serial ports on ethernet software, one:

http://www.eltima.com/products/serial-over-ethernet/

a forums user created own application once, allows redirect virtual machines configured named pipes actual serial ports on hyper-v host:

https://github.com/downloads/albertjan/pipetocom/np2com.zip

it's not official piece of software, it's not recommended or supported, , using might put hyper-v server in unsupported state. can always try it, beware of these facts , possibility cause damage something. haven't tried myself.

the recommended setup let vm connect external resources it's own os enhancing flexibility. it allows vm migrated other hyper-v hosts, not making dependent on unique hardware in configuration, locking single hyper-v server.
