windows server 2000 dns forward lookup zone enumeration slow on new domain controller

we promoted new server domain controller can retire older hardware. noticed using dnsmgmt.msc slower enumerate ad integrated forward lookup zone on new dc on old dc. there setting fix this?

hello erik,

make sure configure subnet dns servers preferred , secondary dns on nic settings, in case 192.168.102.4 , 192.168.102.44. choose server itslef preferred , other 1 secondart.

the other subnet dns servers, 144.144.13.4 , 172.16.1.4, maybe add additional dns on advannced dns settings only. after change run ipconfig /flushdns , iponfig /registerdns , restart netlogon service on new , old dc. personal wouldn't use them have 2 dns servers in subnet.

then check again if problem exists.
