Windows 2008 R2 RDS question

hi all, achieve target on company: use pxe boot in order boot windows 7 clients network, know can use wds that, but: can boot customized images of windows 7 (machines should in domain , have program installed), can let these machines (using thin clients) available employees. use rds let users have virtual desktop (or multiple ones) target have diskless pcs booting os remotely (the pc images must in domain), or alternative. can suggest solution? dunno if been sufficient clear thank you

hi,

this depends on thin clients. microsoft give option.

basically on clients need define connection vdi desktops , select option run rdp connection right on boot. setting must available in thin clients. keep in mind client have @ least 5.2 rdp compatible. benefit latest improvements need thinclient better rdp version. recommend @ leat 6.1.

if idea use thin clients made on knees - ones computers without rom etc etc - nothing brands, need pxe server contain image containing rdp client. easiest option of course have hdd or flash drive installed on clients. said not impossible make kneed build client , make run. creates management overhead.

regarding vmware. thats different story. if want run microsoft vdi need hyper-v @ backend. can example install windows vm's , connect directly them stations. in configuration pooled vdi not possible out of box tools. private vm's.
