hi there ! i'm encountering issue ms word 2002 documents sharing via windows server 2003 file server in windows server 2003 domain. when open doc file , edited necessary, save amend changes. sometimes, saves normally. but, after couple of saves (sometime 3 or 4 times, sometime 10 plus times), document prompted save as , read-only sign appeared on document’s title bar. i’ve make sure read-only attribute clear on file , parent folder well. user has full control on ntfs/share permission on file. and, tried turn off automatic backup file feature in word (tools | options | save tab, clear create backup copy), problem still there. once file closed without saving changes , reopen file, it’s open normal document again without read-only sign. then, after changes , saving, turns read-only again. if came across kind of similar problem , found solution, pls requested share out. thank you. regards, thk hello thihakyaw! my fisrt shot be: this is mi...

good afternoon! is possible recover ad recovering ntds.dit , sysvol folder backup? hi, i have 2 routers creating vpn.  1 router lan side network 192.168.1.0 while other 1 192.168.10.0.  can ping , tracert either network (any computer) other network can "see" computers in 1 direction.  .10 network, when type in explorer  \\192.168.1.4   says cannot find address.  .1 network when type \\192.168.10.2 , lists shares available on computer , can access them fine.  not using fqdn or computer names, using ip addresses.  can remote desktop computer computer using lan ip.  ideas ? that fact can ping computers on either subnet either subnet covers layers 1-3 in osi model.  so, doesn't appear network related regards ip connectivity/routing.  do have firewall enabled on 192.168.1.4 possibly allow incoming icmp packets not smb?   visit: anitkb.com , knowledge base.
