hi, i writing application requires generate settings report of gpos in multiple domains. i using gpmc library same. if have 4 dc's , integrated dns how know that one dc has primary zone and other has secondary zone.  with active directory integrated dns, there no need primary dns zones , secondary dns zones. primary , secondary dns zones can used control dns servers accept zone changes. dns server hosting primary dns zone accepts updates dns zone, dns server hosting secondary dns zone not accept updates dns zone. hello, if approve update requires role enabled, how windows update agent (wua) know role enabled (and, hence, whether update applicable)? instance, ms13-066 / kb2868846 applies if "active directory federation services" role enabled. windows update agent (wua) list required servers *without* role enabled? -dd yes, correct. however, updates span more 1 role. if update impacted file shared 2 roles, though 1 out of 2 roles enabled, entire update considered applicable. files aren't needed in case stashed in winsxs directory if 2nd role later enabled, up-to-date. also, safe, wu scan kicked off automatically when enable server role in server manager. i want able recreate user profile out having drop server each time. have 80 users , everytime happens have create new folder creating new user in terminal services. folder duplicates self adding server name end of file name, example have temp.meds32 temp.meds3201..ect if able delete folder before created new terminal service user wouldn't have problem everytime try delete folder tells me ntuser.dat in use , not beable delete, hance restaring server, there anyway can delete folder without restarting server, or better yet user profile losing desktop icons? know if go folder of client stating incons missing see them there, think not being able access folder terminal services because ntuser.dat using causeing terminal service create tempary desktop...that theory might not accurate. hi , i see there process locking session, process not getting killed. i know if running backup operations on profiles . as simple test , can restart terminal server , try deleting ntuser.dat file , int...
