what is the right dfs staging size?

can me counting on staging size.

what have heard when deciding size of staging space following,

take the sum of 32 biggest file fileshare , add 50% of space.

one of shares right 250 gb. 32 biggest files in share totaly 40 gb.
40/2 = 20 .

40 gb + 20 gb = 60

should have staging quota on 60 gb then?

how diskspace should avalible @ least on harddrive? 
60 or number of gig?

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine
