Powershell reports that AD group doesn't exist (but it does)

starting 2 weeks ago, powershell script verify groups exist before attempting add user them has started reporting particular group not exist, though does.

it's not new group, doesn't have horrific number of members, it's set same way similar groups, has been around long time, has same properties similar groups, it's not disabled, etc.  ad side can see absolutely nothing wrong.  can add users with no problem.  , yet get-adgroup insists doesn't exist.

i know isn't powershell failure because it's accurately finding every other group.  it's particular one.

i did notify our "ad guy" hasn't had time it.  i'm hoping can jump-start on identifying , fixing problem posting question.

i apologize lack of detail - i'll happy provide more info if know need!

does happen computers running powershell or one? using full dn when referencing group
