can't login to vista computer that be into Vista VM using top level domain account

we have windows 2008 server configured top-level domain , subdomain .  user accounts in top-level domain. possible use top-level domain user accounts access or rdp computers have joined subdomain?  if so, how?

the tld accounts i'm using rdp vista vm have been added remote desktop users group.

i've tried:

tld\tld username

tld.local\tld username

neither 1 works me.

thanks in advance.

i assume talking virtual machines --- 1 vm set another's sub-domain.

if so, accounts in main domain should able access resource of sub-domain two-way trust created automatically.

you can try create user on sub-domain , using remote target computer see result. if still failed, need check remote issue first.

meanwhile, check if can logon computer joined sub-domain locally main domain account.
