hyper-v host deploy to bare metal

currently have vmware infrastructure , want switch on hyper-v 2016.

i have new server start with.  don't have sccm or vmm installed anywhere.  should install windows 2016 server standard , add hyper-v or there way more stripped down hyper-v hypervisor on bare metal server?

you can use hyper-v server instead of windows server. that's stripped-down gets: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-hyper-v-server-2016.
