Issue Joining Server 2003 Domain "The Following Error Occured while attempting to join the domain "Domain": the network path was not found"

not sure if appropriate location question, if not appoligize.

here issue, have machine(lenovo r61 running xp pro sp3) that unable join domain, type in qualified domain name including name of specific pdc , bdc(both on site) , excluding server names, can ping , resolve both fqdn , and pdc , bdc have tried multiple dnc , dc's(4 total, 2 onsite , 2 offsite), windows firewall on servers off, while using mcaffee hips , antivirus. have tried deleting , recreating computers profile in dc's no avail, required on domain have computers profile entered domain before allowed add it.

while 1 machine having issues joining domain machine exact same brand new build , hardware setup able join domain using same information tried. im @ loss else here, other send machine in question manufacture warranty repairs nic. swapping hdd shell verify if nic. if solve problem, thank time , im sorry jumped gun in asking.

any input issue appreciated, provide requested information possible.

this issue can caused due 1 of following factors:

 

1.     an incorrect internet protocol (ip) address domain name service (dns) server configured.

2.     the network card driver or network card damaged.

 

based on current situation, please use correct dns server ip address , join domain. detailed steps, please refer following microsoft kb article:

in addition, may update network card driver or replace network card check result.
