Map a share on windows 2008 cluster

i use shares sql server, on clustered sql server ( windows 2003 r2 )  which has ip of 1.2.3.4  have share called say, myshare; i'll access server using \\1.2.3.4\myshare  copy backup.  don't seem able on windows 2008 , i'm told each share have have account, login , separate ip address. true, can not assign share ip of sql server on windows 2008 cluster?
i've read through cluster blog , lots of docs @ stage seems sql server cannot have share resource, clarification appreciated.

hello colin,

i understand when tried access file share on windows server 2008 cluster received errors. however, still unclear exact issue. have better idea problem, please clarify following:

1. mentioned there share on cluster. create share on cluster node or file share in sql server group? if using share on cluster node, please create file share in sql server group see whether works?

2. exact error message when try backup files share? please upload screen shot or let know exact error message word word.

3. ip address 1.2.3.4 address of cluster node or sql cluster address?

4. can see share "my share" when access \\1.2.3.4?

as know, implementing highly available file servers in windows server 2008 different how done in previous versions of microsoft's clustering technology. 1 of new pieces of functionality implemented in highly available file servers 'scoping' of shared folders. means when shared folder created in windows server 2008 failover cluster, not associated 2 other resources in same resource grouping - client access point (cap) , file server resource, accessible way of network name resource 1 of 2 components of client access point (cap) (the other being ip address).  in windows server 2008 failover clusters, shared folders associated file server resource , 'scoped' network name resource part of client access point (cap). not able access file share created on cluster node via cluster network name or ip address.
