DFSR - file exclusions not working and large backlog

i raised issue several files in backlog:

we have issue there thousands of files in backlog constantly. problem have; have been excluded in replication folder properties (they thumbs.db files don't want these replicated)

sending member 2008 r2 dedicated file services, receiving member 2003 r2 file server , domain controller. data never changed on receiving server.

could help?

tia

recreating replication group , re-adding exclusion has solved this.

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine
