Security updates are failing post installation.
hi all,
i have strange issue. have windows server 2012 core domain controller in lab. had installed below security patches released ms part of microsoft security bulletin may & june 2015.
below patches installed. see except kb3002657 rest install post installation fail configure , when verify see kb3002657 installed.
patches installed.

i have got solution,
this seemed o/s corruption in os. post fixing corruption updates installed without issue.

steps:

open registry editor clicking the start button , typing regedit into search box, , pressing enter. if prompted administrator password or confirmation, type password or provide confirmation.

in left pane, find , double-click hkey_local_machine, , click components.

right-click components, , click export. default, file saved desktop, can choose folder.

in the file name text box, type components. have created copy of registry values you're going removing.

in right pane, search for pendingxmlidentifier, right-click it, , click delete. pendingxmlidentifier might not listed.

in right pane, search for nextqueueentryindex, right-click it, , click delete. nextqueueentryindex might not listed.

in right pane, search for advancedinstallersneedresolving, right-click it, , click delete.advancedinstallersneedresolving might not listed.
-
restart computer , run windows update again.
