Robocopy Corrupting Destination Files?

i'm in process of copying lot of files between old , new server.

i'm using 2008 r2 version of robocopy the 979808 hotfix.

i'm seeing i'm getting quite few entries in logs:

2011/02/09 01:05:02 error 5 (0x00000005) copying file \\server\i$\photographic\file.jpg

access denied.

when (logged on domain admin , i've checked security) have access file.  the file appears have copied over.

however, noticed today destination file corrupt in has attributes of source, in 1 case image black/empty half way down, in case didn't render.

copying file manually same source worked fine.

i'm wondering if anyone's encountered similar before?

the thing leaps mind we're using /mt option robocopy , may co-incidence i'm seeing more of error on volumes i've upped thread count 16.

of course leaves question of how on earth copy catch files failed presumably attributes when compares source , destination identical?

thanks.

hi,

first may need check reason why error 5 occurs on files. error access denied, check permission settings again. if necessary, can add current account , give full control permission list.

redo robocopy /mir should skip files copied destination folder. cannot confirm whether corrupted files replaced said files appears have been copied.
