WSUS 3.2 - "Uprgades" appeared in Classifications list - Should we enable it for Windows 10?

up till now, knew wsus 4 supports "upgrades" classification use windows 10, in order download , distribute upgrade versions (e.g. win 10 1511) clients.

a few days ago noticed on our customer's wsus 3.2 servers, "upgrades" option appeared in classifications list.

can we safely enable windows 10 on wsus 3.2?

will work expected?

will wsus 3.2 need patch (as case wsus 4)?

hi winfried & steven,

than both answers. thought to try suggestions but...

the thing kb 3095113 supposed installed on server 2012/2012r2 only.

what talking here, customers server 2003r2 , 2008r2 pdcs + wsus 3.2.

according above , seeing upgrades classification appearing, a logical approach should not install patch due older server versions and check upgrades option after performing susdb backup.

so in order not experiment on production servers, need solid answers ms:

  • can install kb 3095113 on server 2003r2?
  • can install kb 3095113 on server 2008r2?
  • can enable wsus 3.2 upgrades classification on server 2003r2?
  • can enable wsus 3.2 upgrades classification on server 2008r2?
