MS Word 2007 Autosave Not responding

word hangs when starting autosave. running ms word 2007 sp2 under xp professional sp3.

the autosave notice appears @ bottom of screen progress bar, save never occurs , word changes (not responding) , must force quit. when re-launched, word shows auto-recover documents when selected message document caused error last time opened, if select continue message document corrupt , word crashes again. first time happened, corrupted original document file, the tilde working version of file (~), , autosave version corrupt. i lost working copies of file.

the second time happened, able copy/paste original , tilde versions of files other locations , rename them, lost changes document. autosave version (asd) empty.

office repair doesn't find , nothing in knowledgebase @ support.microsoft.com

anyone else having issue autosave corrupting files? recommeded fix?

for issue encountered.

 

first should re-run program in safe mode.

 

if not work, rename globe template (normal.dot).

 

i not know whether document or whole program repaired .

 

if still invalid, suggest uninstall program control panel.

 

then reinstall .

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine
