AD Recovery for Schema and Configuration

hi,
in terms of schema corruption - ex, try extend schema modifying 1 of attribute in user class using 3rd party tool not tested properly. so, directly affected user class, which used every person in organization.. changes replicated immediately. schema ur template. if template changes, format changes. other going forest recovery there no other option here. thats why experts stress on "try use existing un-used objects in schema rather editing/modifying used ones"
i believe after edit schema, can't control replication here tools. can monitor it.
do mean, in case, if not spreading "probably shutdown dc has corruption fsmo role" , seize roles in other dc , meta-data clean ? may work!
but why these risk situations, keep disaster recovery plan , set ready. save , clients! :)
