Active Directory Change

our domain active directory on windows 2003 migrated nt4.0 then 2000. have exchange environment consists 1 front end , 2 end exchange 2003 servers. problem have consultant migrated windows 2000 5 years ago used domain.loc domain structure rather our domain.org name. looking safest way migrate/convert current structure .loc .com know not easy need done. can build new dc .org , trust , migrate servers that. think biggest concern exchange. thank you

i think best course of action leave smile

if have large number of users , large number of desktops small number of servers , server side applications, try rename.  exchange, use fix-up tool:

but really, tricky process because if have tested in lab, need include of business critical applications in testing - if miss one, can break, , backout strategy leaves them broken...  rename can fast implementation , co-existance period 0 - there possibility of application needing substantial remediation.

the migration possibility, if going that, @ migrating windows 2008.  in event, migration going provide period of co-existance , great deal of management.

those being choices, go origianal option - leave is.
