"Preparing to copy" from NAS

hi,

i trying copy 4 tb of data portable nas device server's local storage, both connected same network switch. network speed @ 10 gbps. mapped shared folder on nas , dragged , dropped data start copy process. been on 24 hours , still shows "preparing copy...". windows trying determine how data copy , @ 900 gb far. slow!

is there way skip "preparing copy" step , start actual transfer of data?

any third party tool can copy fast?

any suggestions?

thanks

use robocopy instead.

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine
