DFS between 2 SQL Failover clusters a seperate sites

i have 2 clusters running without issues. 1 located in branch office , 1 located in our datacenter.  these clusters providing ha sql 2008 r2 services. @ branch site have nightly backup dumps backup drive. drive resource of sql application. works great no matter server active owns shared backed drive.

i want use dfs move backup datacenter now. here's did

1) added files servers (dfs, , replication) both nodes @ remote site, , both nodes in datacenter

2) added file server resource sql application group @ remote site , created "replicate" share

3) added files server resource sql application group @ datacenter , added "replicate" share

4) try create replication group. think have use sql client access point. when seems accept when have specify "add folder replicate", error "myserver.mydomain.com: not possible enumerate physical disk drives in cluster resource group. cluster group not found". folder trying add g:\replicate. can map drive remotely \\branchserver\replicate without problems. failover works great can't add replicate target.

just note, tried actual host name of remote site server no avail. tried cluster name no avail

the sql client access point gets me furthest still enumeration error.
