Windows crashed after converting system reserved partition from FAT32 to NTFS


hello,

a breif ground:

on 1 our ws 2008 r2, backups failing; after search came conclusion that, backups failing due fat32 partiton (system reserved partition in case) created on server.

without realising consequences, converted fat32 ntfs using convert.exe. went till here.

when rebooted server os refused boot up. don't have system state backup or restore point created server.

is there way can recover os stage ?

i refered below article , tried recover os no avail.

first of all, far know, format of reserved partition ntfs instead of fat32. how did fat32 format of reserved partition?
 
by way, can try perform further steps repair computer.
 
1. insert windows server 2008 r2 disk computer.
2. proceed system recovery options following screenshot, select command prompt.
3. in command prompt window, run diskpart command.
4. run “list volume” command list volumes on computer, find volume number of reserved partition.
5. run “select volume volume_number” command select 100mb’s reserved partition.
6. run “active” command active partition.
7. run exit command exit diskpart.
8. run d:\windows\system32\bcdboot d:\windows /s c:
note: c: reserved partition , d: system partition on computer, adjust them accordingly.
9. reboot computer see whether can boot computer properly.
 
in addition, can use 64bit of windows 7 disk perform startup repair in system recovery options.
