Using Hyper-V on my new IBM server.

hi,

i have new ibm x3650 m2 server , comes small ibm virtual media key plugs motherboard. believe key used install os on virtual environment don’t use hdd space on raid. i’m not sure if hyper-v comes in such small cut down format , if called?

if doesn’t come in small format best options me run new virtual environment without wasting unnecessary resources.

my servers specs are:

xeon 4c 2.26ghz
26gb ram
6 x 146gb sas drives
4 x 500gb nl sas drives.

thanks help.

hi,

i got following description internet:

ibm virtual media key expansion module

description:

the ibm virtual media keys take integrated management module next level, providing full remote control of system x servers. ibm virtual media keys allow administrators manage servers remotely regardless of server or operating system condition.

i never heard virtual media key hyper-v.

if doesn’t come in small format best options me run new virtual environment without wasting unnecessary resources.

>> generally, don’t recommend store vms in system drive, it’s better keep vms in other partition. if possible, can use raid improve performance.
