Imported updates not all showing up in WSUS

i imported 1 security patch ms10-019 microsoft update catalog. shows have downloaded , imported 30 patches website. after importing, can see 6 patches in "all updates" unapproved status. patches 2008, 2008r2 , 2008 x64 os. may know patches imported other os, 7 , xp? way, have 7 , xp clients in computer groups.

another interesting thing is, when click "search..." actions panel , type" ms10-019" got 37 results(i downloaded 30). results of patches duplicated. used import patches before, decline , delete patches later. don't know if that's reason caused metadata confused.

becasue don't want to see any unrequired updates showing in wsus.

need rethink overcomplicated , entirely unnecessary strategy obtaining thsi goal, , investigate how product operates , manages updates. purpose of importing updates occasional acquisition of specific updates not published through standard wsus publishing methodologies. scenario here have duplicates instances of updates, having obtained them multiple sources, or imported them more once.

and . . . how know update unrequired unless you've synchronized update , allowed windows update agent evaluate package metadata , determine whether update is, or not, needed each individual system? surely not expectation read every published kb article or msrc security bulletin , determine if need update in environment through manual (human) inspection , evaluation???
