Global Security Group and NTFS permission don’t work

i wander if me resolve following issue:

i’ve created global security group, added members , gave full permission on security tab. shared folder full permissions everybody.

the problem is, can access folder using \\server_ip_addess\share not able access using \\server_name\share . thought kerberos authentication problem when add user directly ntfs security tab i’m able files using server name without problems.

server windows 2008 active directory services. dcdiag doesn’t show issues.

any ideas?

hi,

i have 3 questions issue:

1. what's exact error when accessing \\server\share?

2. try give - full control test. see if work. if so, issue should related security group created.

3. i'm thinking if "can access via \\ip not \\server" different issue "add user ntfs , \\server work". if so, may need check dfs server first issue , ntfs permission second one.
