the system cannot find file specified.

unfortunately cdt 32-bit tool , cannot used on r2 systems.

please following:

1. record system time of r2 server

2. restart windows updates service (net stop wuauserv; net start wuauserv)

3. run command: wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow

4. wait 30 minutes

5. post entries windowsupdate.log starting @ time recorded in step #1

Global Catalog ?

what difference between wuauclt1.exe , wuauclt.exe files ( under system32 folder ) ? in of cases, windows update service is not working client machines having these 2 files. even tried delete wuauclt1.exe, created automatically. what difference between wuauclt1.exe , wuauclt.exe files ( under system32 folder ) ? the wuauclt1.exe (and sister file wuaueng1.dll) components of legacy au agent shipped operating systems released prior 2005.
