Cannot access from Windows 7, Windows 2008 to Windows 2003 std SP2


dear all,

i have windows 2003 std sp2 running domain controller named: abc.com ip 10.33.105.10

i did setup new domain on windows 2008 std r2 named: def.com ip 10.33.105.2

i trouble when access \\10.33.105.10 using windows 7(workgroup) , windows 2008 std r2(running domain controller def.com) problem appear picture

how can solve issue ?

i found root cause, want share way fix problem, if person met problem won't waste time fix issue

the problem base on ntlmv2 authentcation, windows 7 , 2008 using ntlmv2 authentcation, , windows xp , windows 2003 using ntlm authentcation, that, take steps below fixed

  1. click start menu, “run”
  2. type “secpol.msc”
  3. select local policies
  4. select security options
  5. find network security: lan manager
  6. from drop down list, select: “send lm & ntlm responses”
  7. go run/ , type gpupdate /force enter
