Virtual Server SMTP in IIS 6 on Windows Server 2012 R2 does not detect my installed certificate
correctly bought ssl certificate domain www.omniservice2.it from aruba business on server windows server 2012 r2. certificate issued rapidssl sha256 ca.
correctly installed certificate in iis 8 on every site , web application , in fact each of them correctly reachable https.
now, need set same smtp server in iis 6. smtp works fine basic authentication want credentials encrypted. so, activated flag "requires tls encryption" in tab access under properties.
moreover, in root console did following check certificate installed inside personal directory:
file --> add/remove snap-in --> select certificates --> computer account --> local computer --> ok under console root see certificates (local computer) --> personal --> certificate there correctly rapidssl sha256 ca bought correct expiration date.
problem in section "secure communication" still read "tls not available without certificate" supposed install certificate iis 6 detects it?
have read many threads here problem cannot rid of it!

is smtp server windows server 2003 iis6?if is case,you should install kb enable 256bit encryption under iis 6:
an update available add support tls_rsa_with_aes_128_cbc_sha aes128-sha , tls_rsa_with_aes_256_cbc_sha aes256-sha aes cipher suites in windows server 2003
