Increasing the number of vCPUs in Windows 2003 R2

hi,

i have virtual server installed 2 vcpus , increase 4.  know how make modification vm i'm wondering is, there have or worry windows server point of view.  that's guest's os not host.

the vm windows server 2003 r2 64-bit.  production machine , don't want make change if make unstable or if have go through lot of work once vcpus changed.  btw, is running sql server 2005.

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine
