Virtual Network Manager does not save connection type EXTERNAL but returns to PRIVATE VM Network

 

hi,

 

i want give vms access internet want them make use of physical nic.

 

in virtual network manager select broadcom netxtreme gigabit ethernet on primergy tx 120 , select external.

in listbox broadcom netxtreme gigabit ethernet. click ok. no error messages.

when opening virtual network manager again, connection type changed private virtual machine network.

 

restart not solve problem. keeps doing this.

any idea?

how many virtual switches have?

 

i ask because 1 physical parent nic can attached virtual network @ time.

 

so, if have 1 nic @ parent attached network, can have 1 virtual switch attached it.

 

this fails silently.
