Server 2012 Essentials freezes and stops responding

i have several customers running server 2012 essentials experience freezing/lockups after running approximately week.  symptoms local pcs can not logon network or access mapped drives or network locations on server.  recourse hard reboot.  below system event logs 2 systems.  have listed last 2 events before restart , first event after restart.

here 2 failures system 1.

  • 12/30/2014 9:09:29 pm  event # 5186 - worker process process id of '13128' serving application pool 'webapiservice' shutdown due inactivity.  application pool timeout configuration set 20 minutes.  new worker process started when needed.
  • 12/30/2014 9:16:19 pm  service control manager event # 7036 - windows update service entered stopped state.
  • 1/2/2015 12:01:58 kernel general event # 12 - operating system started @ system time ‎2015‎-‎01‎-‎02t18:01:58.494060300z.

we had lockup yesterday , system logs show:

  • 1/4/2015 9:23:19 pm service control manager event # 7036 - winhttp web proxy auto-discovery service service entered running state.
  • 1/4/2015 9:27:22 pm event # 5186 - winhttp web proxy auto-discovery service service entered running state.
  • 1/5/2015 8:47:45 kernel-general event # 12 - worker process process id of '10040' serving application pool 'webapiservice' shutdown due inactivity.  application pool timeout configuration set 20 minutes.  new worker process started when needed.

here log events system 2:

  • 12/16/2014 2:07:23 service control manager event # 7036 - windows modules installer service entered stopped state.
  • 12/16/2014 2:11:04 service control manager event # 7036 - winhttp web proxy auto-discovery service service entered stopped state.
  • 12/16/2014 11:48:91 kernel-boot event # 18 - there 0x1 boot options on system.

here lockup on same machine later in month:

  • 12/23/2014 2:02:29 service control manager event # 7036 - windows modules installer service entered stopped state.
  • 12/23/2014 2:03:35 service control manager event # 7036 - volume shadow copy service entered stopped state.
  • 12/23/2014 10:54:04 kernel-boot event # 18 - there 0x1 boot options on system.

the 1st system looks hangs around 9pm after activity.  2nd system looks hangs afer windows update based on times itr occurred (2am).  have several other systems exhibiting similar results have not looked @ logs in detail of yet.

any ideas how bottom of these issues?

when issue occurred, did ping windows server 2012 essentials via ip address , server name client computer? please let me know result?

meanwhile, did remember specific operation had been done on server before issue occurred? examples, install windows updates or install third-party application or other?

in addition, please run windows server 2012 essentials best practices analyzer , check if find relevant issues.

by way, did check whether has device uses avstream class (such bluetooth, usb, or pci device) connected computer? more details, please refer following kb.

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine

Windows 2016 RDS event 1306 Connection Broker Client failed to redirect the user... Error: NULL

i'm attempting setup windows 2016 rds standard deployment session hosting.  layout follows: rds01 - rds connection broker , web access ts02 - rds session host ts03 - rds session host domain these servers part of has (1) windows 2008 server , (2) windows 2016 servers acting dcs.  domain running @ windows 2003 functional level. servers on single routed network no firewall between them.  dns , ptr records servers exist , resolve on hosts.  servers can pinged each other. in other words, there no network connectivity issues. i've setup rds deployment several times w/ same results. the issue can login via rdweb interface on rds01 win10 desktop , connect published rdp desktop without issue (i.e. no error messages user) , no errors in logs.  when try directly rdp rds01, authenticate user (per event log) error stating user doesn't have access system.  in event log event id 1306 message of "remote desktop connection broker client failed redirect user &
