Disable Cleartype via Group Policy

i'm developing server 2008 (+sp2) based ts farm client.  warnings increased bandwith requirements noted, client has asked if can enable font smoothing in new ts farm, option disable in future without needing revisit configuration of clients.  majority of clients wince thin client devices, font smoothing option enabled in default connection, obvious place seemed group policy enables/disables feature.

this whitepaper http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/d/9/4d9ae285-3431-4335-a86e-969e7a146d1b/rdp_performance_whitepaper.docx states "for windows server 2008, there no group policy setting disable font smoothing".

i little shocked , hoped bit of searching around prove statement false, haven't been able find yet.  surely there must way centrally manage feature (particularly in light of implications on bandwith) rather having turn on/off @ client?

any helpful comments appreciated.

regards,
nathan

this gpo enabled r2.  don't have r2 box in front of me worth checking out see if it's backwards compatible.  won't venture guess @ point if or isn't.  is.
