Is KMS Activation the Right Choice for Servers Outside of Our Local Area Network

we have need activate win 2008 servers in dmz outside of our lan. kms activation secure method in case? our kms license key stored in our kms server? can happen if 1 of our servers in dmz hacked maniac , wants access our lan or wants disturb weekly activation process of our servers?

it not idea let dmz servers activate inside server unless set ipsec or tunnelling solution.

a kms key can used set up 6 kms servers. set 1 of servers in dmz kms server activate servers in zone, requires have @ least 5 servers in zone meet minimum requirement activation occur. otherwise should use mak keys in dmz.
