Indexing file size out of control.

hi again , 

we running several terminal servers our customers in our own cloud environment ,

every , notice indexing file going out of control on remote desktop server.

if compare same amount of indexed files customer , running indexing service on file server , totally different results :

customer 1,5million index files : 8gb (on file server / w2011sbs)

customer 2,5million index files : 120gb (on rds server / w2012r2)

only solution moment rebuilding index , fix customer not satisfied about.

on remote desktop server outlook running , maybe value.

mentioned "rebuild index", mean go smaller rebuild?

indexed files not listed individually cannot confirm if single file causes issue. can have on offline files set customer offline files indexed default. check if there large file there causes issue.

in addition can test use steps in article though not windows 2012 r2. see if offline compaction on situation.

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine
