Deploy shared printers to devices...

hello all,

 

when using gpo preferences it's possible deploy shared printer user configuration.

however, when using computer configuration option deploy shared printer missing.

only tcp-ip or local printer possible.

 

we want prevent student printing directly printer instead let them print server.

witch logs jobs , able contact printer. (since in seperate lan , clients not able contact them directly)

 

so user has user printers when log in , next have, in rooms, local printers on witch can print. classroom.

 

any of guys knows how working?

one approach:

create shared printer when user logs onto specific machine:
assign printer item in user gpo , use ilt filter on computer name:

if desired, can combine delete action on printer when computer name is not specific one
(useful roaming profiles because preferences don't go away on own...). take care of correct apply order!
