Want access to VMA for Virtual Server 2005 to get access to mouse driver

this strange request, i've been searching 2 days, , while i've found seem answers, can't use them.

i'm not entirely sure if appropriate forum in ask, had select "least unlikely" option , start somewhere. if need post elsewhere, please let me know where, , accept apologies.

i need access mouse drivers on windows virtual server 2005 virtual machine additions package (iso). understand vma version 13.813 or later fixes specific mouse driver problem i'm seeing @ moment (erratic mouse behaviour in vpc 2007, multiple guest oses).

so question : there way can obtain copy of vma image (or mouse driver) without installing wvs2005 , vma?

the reason i'm reluctant install unless absolutely necessary, because have 2 win7 systems : compaq presario cq42 laptop running w7 home premium x32 (so can't install virtual server 2005 package, temporarily). have 12-core amd system running win7 ultimate x64, will run vs2005 install - high-availability (99.85% uptime) server running mission-critical real-time applications not want have shut down or change configuration in way, can install 2005 virtual server, can unpack included vma iso, can copy of mouse driver!

the reason wanting mouse driver because wish test mouse driver in specific (i.e. technically unsupported!) configuration of vpc 2007, unsupported (ms) guest os. know investigations pre-updated vs2005 vma image (ver 13.813 or later) contains mouse driver fixes stability issue mouse driver provided in vpc 2007 vma package.

i don't want heated discussion whether or not might or might not work, or whether or not should trying - i'm in situation have try best sort problem out , possible.

i more happy provide further details if needed, don't want add information (desperate) request trigger folks telling me , not possible. (all things possible - it's more probable others! :)

if can suggest way can hold of resource (mouse driver), or suggestions can , else might able try, appreciate it!

i tried extract files within both vs2005r2 msp package, , updated vma msp package (simply because seemed logical use smallest possible fileset extract from), of course msp package technology precludes simple accessing single component (i assume because msp contents appear patch, rather standalone file set). @ moment, have answer i'm reasonably sure address problem, have no reasonable way of verifying it! guess answer isn't "good" be! :)

i've been troubleshooting , investigating issue week now, , usual options (different standard mouse driver versions, reinstallation, independent confirmation of "fix", etc) have left me in frustrating position!

thanks ideas or suggestions!

kind regards,

pcpete

the vmadditions speaking of are availalbe vpc 2007 (and older) and virtual server.

vpc7 (the 1 built win7) has own version of vmadditions - not compatible older vpc 2007, nor hyper-v.

in cases can additions iso installing product.
