Running Windows disk clean-up on SharePoint 2010 farm servers

when trying conserve disk space on our sharepoint 2010 farm servers ran accross https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff630161(v=ws.10).aspx can allow run disk clean-up.   far in testing things appear working, wondering others run windows cleanup , if supported.

based on experience, utility display list of folders , files can deleted safely, not need worry influence sharepoint farm servers.

disk cleanup (cleanmgr.exe) computer maintenance utility included in windows designed free disk space on computer's hard drive. utility first searches , analyzes hard drive files no longer of use, , removes unnecessary files. there number of different file categories disk cleanup targets when performing initial disk analysis:

  • compression of old files
  • temporary internet files
  • temporary windows files
  • downloaded program files
  • recycle bin
  • removal of unused applications or optional windows components
  • setup log files
  • offline web pages (cached)

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine

Event ID 64,77,1008 Certificates Events Windows Server 2008, 2008R2
