DCDIAG in 2008 Domain reporting issues with FRS when we are using DFSR
hi,
i have built active directory domain controlling windows server 2008 domain controllers. ffl running windows server 2008. using dfsr sysvol replication , therefore frs isnt configured , service stopped has never been configured wasnt required.
when run dcdiag get errors below. why getting these errors? know frs not started , configured, intentional. everything else working ok, sysvol replacing and working fine through dfsr.
starting test: services
* checking service: dnscache
* checking service: ntfrs
ntfrs service stopped on [server]
some objects relating dc server have problems:
[1] problem: missing expected value
base object:
cn=server,ou=domain controllers,dc=test,dc=test1,dc=company,dc=com
base object description: "dc account object"
value object attribute name: frscomputerreferencebl
value object description: "sysvol frs member object"
recommended action: see knowledge base article: q312862
hi,
thanks post.
i performed test on windows 2008 domain controller , did not see error messages. however, reproduce issue if copied dcdiag.exe file windows server 2003 dc windows server 2008 dc.
please check version of dcdiag.exe file ran in domain controller. in windows server 2008 domain controller, dcdiag file version should 6.0.6001.18000 or above.
thanks. forward response.
