export WSUS configuration (approvals)

with recent patch upgrade on wsus, attempting run wsusmigrationexport tool, unsuccessful.  error out attempting connect http site.  has had success in exporting wsus configuration using tool?  correct syntax or tricks work?

those settings reside in database. so, if need backup, point susdb.mdf. if need export settings server, easier , simplier way to set replica\downstream server on target server. if export need different goal, maybe can check scripts available on http://poshwsus.codeplex.com/ or http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/site/search?f%5b0%5d.type=rootcategory&f%5b0%5d.value=windowsupdate&f%5b0%5d.text=windows%20update&f%5b1%5d.type=subcategory&f%5b1%5d.value=serverside&f%5b1%5d.text=server-side%20management
