Windows 2008 deployment with ADS (or other options)

i have existing automated deployment services (ads) http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/techinfo/overview/ads.mspx installation more happy with. have scripts , sorts of internal applications interface ads via cli , in terms of functionality have *no* desire move away. have problem however…

i love windows server 2008 – think great. of microsoft infrastructure should running 2008, isn’t because @ moment windows 2008 not *compatible* ads. this, mean cant find capture agent install on windows 2008 computers… removed check in 2003 installer orca , installed application there appears other issues stop working started fine after install (i.e. service started) on reboot machine appeared go perpetual reboot loop, blue screening ambiguous error message. conceptually, see no reason ads won’t work 2008 – can swap out placeholder text in file, change in answer file format should not matter. in theory, if can capture image ads can deploy it.

my resistance windows deployment services follows:  

-          i don’t want run domain.

-          i don’t want upgrade unless have – other gaining support 2008 else gain?

-          i don’t want re write scripts , applications.

-          i don’t want have go through motions of rebuilding previous windows images.

-          i ads.

any thoughts? i, cruel stroke of fate, missing direct link windows 2008 ads client download? missing obvious hack or work-around save me lot of pain? or input greatly, appreciated.

ads not support windows server 2008 windows service 2008 uses .wim image not supported ads. deploy windows server 2008, need use wds or system center configuration manager 2007 (sccm 2007). understand cause inconvenience you, however, afraid have use new deployment tools deploy new operating systems.

Disconnecting from a Windows Server 2012 R2 file sharing session on a Windows 7,8,10 machine
