How to guide for developing a Word 2010 form

before commit lot of time understand how create simple contract proposal form client, know if there "how guides" available? selected developer , tried create form. got hung how set area/range fill in, e.g. city; state; zip on same line in word doc. seems when try create form field defaults length cannot seem change via normal n mouse movements.

 

i know there form software packages i'd stay in ms word.

in opinion best approach start trying out yourself. trial error, agree, that's imo best way learn. vba editor might bit daunting @ first once manage grasp basics (by generating simple form yourself) you'll discover easier may appear be.

imo best way approach form thinking of form collection of objects (button, text (label), input box, etc.) of objects can trigger events in turn can used start own code snippet ("procedure"). common approach start creating module controls event of macro (the actual program) , work way onto form.

alas, of links considered helpful come ms themselves; getting started vba 2010 imo must read. msdn article explains of basics behind vba 2010, imo invaluable if want create forms (while forms might easy helps able , create (controlling) macro's well).

another article overview of forms, form controls, , activex controls on worksheet. yes, aimed @ excel still gives insight imo.

last not least: keep eye out (imo excellent) office blogs.  can't find specific word & forms here, reason i'm mentioning anyway because come nifty tricks , tips.
