Software can't access mapped drive

hi,

i have shared folder on server 2008 r2, mapped drive on client pc running xp. when open file mapped drive, using "open" option in program, program reports project file "not found". if open mapped drive folder in windows explorer, close folder, software can open file through "open" no problem. idea causing this?

the strange thing issue doesn't happen often.

i tried playing network drivers no success.

thanks feedback.

hi,

please check if network connection stable between client , server running ping servername –t command.

in case, suggest use offline files in windows xp, can make network files available offline storing shared files on computer accessible when not connected network. if this, can work files same way work them when connected network. when reconnect network, changes made files updated network. please see details from: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/307853

in addition, microsoft has ended support windows xp, suggest upgrade system better experience.

regards,

wendy
