Group Policy keeps deleting AutoConfigURL registry key


i have gpo assigned sub ou our user accounts ou testing have limited number of pilot users in ou can test , verify pac file , proxy service working , policies correct.

initially when user logs in (i'm 1 of users) key set (hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\internet settings) seems intermittently or periodically deleted.

any ideas on how to find out , when it's happening?

yes, since it's group policy can gpupdate /force bring back.

this makes me feel group policy not involved here, issue seems more on other applications/configurations in environment.
 
anyway, try process monitor approach , see if find root cause. alternatively, can use registry auditing:
